Thanks, everyone, for the financing advice. We have excellent credit, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll give them a call to find out what the rate is.

FINALLY you will have your car in Jan!

CONGRADS!

shop around for rates for credit union as you still got time....and hopefully they can get you a pre-approved credit!

I got mine from a CU @5.24% back in Feb.....lexus was giving me 6.XX% (dont remember)

Kickin8 you were one of the first people to welcome me here and have been so supportive. Shoyuu, you know what I'm going through. Is it really worth it? Like child birth, will I forget after I see my beautiful baby? JoeZ, I can't wait until January.

I started looking online tonight and found one for 5.00 for 37-72 months by searching on one of the search engines for Credit Union car loans. I wish I could afford the 36 month one at 3.50! Car payments just aren't as bad when the car is brand new. It's harder paying in the later years when the newness has worn off.

5% in todays environment isn't bad. The best you'll find at LFS will probably be around 6%.

eLoan is quoting 6.09% for 36 months, 6.35% for 48-60 months, 6.99% for 66-72 months which would be typical retail rates for high FICO score customers (+700 on a true FICO score basis)

Be careful about filling out too many credit applications as each one will do a pull on your credit report, which lowers your credit score. Then if you go somewhere else your score is lower than it would have been. Just something to keep in mind.

The buy rate for LFS is 5.59%.

If you found 5% through another lender you should jump on it.

**Remember to get preapproved for December and ask them to "hold" the rate for January. This is very important as rates change every month and it could go up next month so don't take chances.**

Good luck and keep us posted.

So whats the word - did they get you a VIN yet?

They should have one already or soon since the build was 12/4.

Still crossing my fingers for you...

It will all be worth it.

5% is a good rate, you should lock that in if possible. Looking forward to seeing you get your car.

Thanks guys. No VIN yet, but we're hoping that Santa will leave one for us under the tree on Christmas. We decided to wait for our next call until after Christmas. We figure they're real busy gving all of those OTHER people those nice bows right now. BAH HUMBUG!

Today is my birthday and I was driving home from our celebration thinking how nice it would have been to be in my new car. I'm glad to hear it's worth it Shoyuu.

Thanks, Evitzee. My parents tried very hard to make my day special throughout the years. What's always been hard is the 23rd is usually that run around like a chicken with your head cut off day for most people and they don't have time for things such as a birthday. What's funny is waiting all year for presents has prepared me for this car situation. LOL

Since my birthday is over. Now I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!

Happy belated B-day... & Merry Christmas...

I am sure as soon as your car hits the dealers report / manifest of incoming cars, you will have the VIN and land date of the boat..

I would guess that they & you will get this info around 12/31 - 1/5

Your Almost there!!!

Thanks so much JoeZ. We really had a nice few days. I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas, too.

I'll be sure to call them to see. You've been right on all along about the dates! You help me keep them honest, OK?
