I saw your thread about getting the car, carchitect. Congrats! Like you, I love my sport pkg car and have no plans on lowering it. Unless...after I get the Tom's kit on, I might be tempted. LOL

Thanks babe, I'm glad it impressed you. I've had the chance to put some miles on it and have loved every bit of it. I just got back from a local supra GTG a few minutes ago and everyone loved the car. I bought along the X-men and Swordfish DVDs to demo the system. The scene of Hugh Jackman and Charles Patrick where he communicates via telepathy and the walking claymore mines explosion were so intense and rich no one thought it could've come from within a car. The radar cruise and park assist are a few things I'm still trying to get used to. I've found that its very easy to look away from the road when driving with all these gadgets in the vehicle.

I wanted the ML stereo -without- nav, so I knew I'd be special ordering anyway... at that point the sport package was a no-brainer since it was $500 less than the Lux package w/18" wheels and only sacrificed the (IMHO) useless rear sunshade while adding the nicer looking aluminum trim, pedals, and sport suspension.

I picked mine up first week of October this year, and it was the first sports package car the dealership had ever seen.

Given the ML-without-Nav being uber-rare, the sports package being fairly rare, and the Cashmere interior switching to black carpet about a month after mine was built, my car might be entirely unique in its optioning, and it's almost certain to be the only 08 ever built this way.

I just wish they offered a "real" 5-spoke wheel with it... though the new 08 wheel finish helps
