Default what does Sport Pkg add?

I pick up my SMG '06 IS350 on Monday. It has the Sports package included. The only thing I know for sure this package has is the aluminum color interior as opposed to the wood trim.

I'm guessing the suspension is different - is it lower at all or just stiffer?

Are the seats different at all?

Anything else changed from the standard IS350?

I couldn't find this as an opt when I "built my own" at the Lexus website. Any help with info would be appreciated!

Steve

Sport package = luxury with 18-inch wheels package except...

Sport package does NOT have: illuminated scuff plates and wood trim
but does have: a slightly lower suspension and aluminum scuff plates.

They're pretty much the same according to the Lexus website. Yes it's true you probably can't get that option from the "build your own" section of the website as the sport package is not available, at least in the Eastern U.S., other than by special order. The build your own section is pretty much a useless feature of the website because the IS pretty much only comes in a few configurations depending on whether you get the 250 or 350, so really you're not building anything. You really are stuck with visiting a dealer if for nothing else information about what's out there.

You forgot a couple more. Sport package has aluminum pedals. Luxury package has rear powered sunshade.

Thanks, that helps...

I have never even driven the new IS, only sat it them and played around at the dealership.

My new one I'm getting Monday is a SMG IS350 with black (whatever the technical name is) interior. Has the following:

- heated/ac seats
- Sports Package
- nav with ML DVD audio
- full gfx kit
- rear spoiler
- parking sensors
- HID with xxx (whatever you call the turning lights)
- tinted windows

The new sticker on it was $46,xxx and I was told it has every available options besides the adaptive cruise (which is cool but probably not something I'd use very often)

It's 11 months old so I let someone else take the depreciation hit...

I'm looking forward to driving it - it's a HUGE change from what I've been driving every day for the last 8-9 months

I hope you enjoy the car, but unless I read it wrong, how could you buy a car without test driving it? Let alone a used car!

I'm ordering a sport package. The two main things from the luxury package that is not included in the sport package seems to be 1. illuminated scuff plates, 2. wood trim. Well, I like both the wood and illumianted scuff plates and simply will have them installed after the car arrives.

Guess the rear power sunshade, the third main item you lose by choosing the sport package rather than luxury, gets no love. Can't say I'd miss it; though it is cool the way it automatically lowers when you put the car in reverse.

LOL Cute. As neat as the power sunshade is, no love. Thing is, I like all of the Luxury and Sport options and the Luxury with X package has color limitations. Sorry Lexus, but I want my cake and eat it too.

Car has 10,300 miles. Oil just changed at 10k. I paid $34.3K and don't pay any tax/title fees being in the military

I'll let him eat the $12K depreciation hit he took over the first 11 months!
