Default The wait is over....The car has arrived!!!!

I ordered in September 3rd on a monday and initally it wasn't supposed to get here until after January.

Two months of waiting was making me real anxious and seeing and driving these cars on a regular bases was even more torture. My new car manager had been keeping me updated and the car was headed for arrival on the 27th of December. So I though yes, new car for the new year.

Then me mentioned about the car arriving on the 17th and it got me even excited. Well it came in today and its such a relief.

The price tag is about the only downer.

Check out the junk in the trunk. (Its supposed to be there)

Plastics everywhere. (thats how they come)

Sport pack means you can't get the Brid's Eye Maple trim option.

And it looks so much better w/o it.

This is how they protect the finish on the new wheels.

You guys were right about the '08 models not having illuminated door sills. But I think I might leave them alone. The Lexus site wasn't correct when the car was ordered. Oh well at least the wiring is already there if I opt for it in the future.

So I pulled the car in the shop after 5pm and got to working on it. Yeah i did my own Pre-delivery Inspection

This right here is one of the main reasons why this car was purchased.

IDK Y, but this little starfish dot was on the rear windshield and I decided to post it

I wish everyone would understand this.

My first accessory. I mean my first necessity

Plastics are all off and the PDI is done.

Car is getting its first tank of gas.

I was physically exhausted after the work I had going on on the other two cars I have assigned to me. Both had to go frist thing tomorrow morning so I didn't get a chance to finish the car yet. I still have to go sign my contract for the payments. I also have a bunch of accessories to install

Yeah, Its $48,025. I'm glad I'm getting a better deal on it than anyone else gets so the price isn't that much of an issue. Besides I've seen these options on all the IS models just not all in one. The fellas in sales were like "how much is that car?!!" The car isn't "fully Loaded". I didn't get the $100 bumper sprinklers

Thanks for the comments guys.

This is my first new car and I'm excited about it. Mods for the car will be continuing on this thread.

Hopefully I'll have everything done this weekend to drive it.

Yeah, I work for Park Place Lexus Grapevine. BTW, I see that you live in CA. Our owner just bought Lexus of Mission Viejo. This is the best dealership I've worked for and everyone here is great to work with. Last year I recieved an award of exceptional performance and the dealership covered the bill on my Lasik surgery. I'll more than likely be retireing here someday.
