Never, and I mean never, have Best Buy or Circuit City do ANY installations of any kind into anything you own.

1 out of 100 actually knows what they are doing. That's a chance that most people aren't will to take.

the fiber optic wires may be between the HU and the factory amp located in the trunk.

I am not sure if the Lexus uses fiber obtic, but i am very certain that the new MBZ uses fiber obtic between their HU and AMP.

I think what's worse is that they held your car for six hours knowing full well they couldn't do anything and didn't bother to call you to come pick it up. Instead, waiting till you came back to find out. God I abhor crappy customer service.

what type of system are you talking about?? component speakers, amp+sub, head unit (I know its not that because there are no kits for it)???

If you are saying they won't install amp+sub combo, then why is there tons of IS owners with systems??

I am about to buy an IS250 and planning to put in amp and sub, just want to make sure it will work.

BTW I think circuit city does an awesome job (when you have the installation manager do the work), they are far better than Best Buy in knowledge, customer service, and attitude.

Never ever under any circumstance let a chain store work on your car or install things in your home. Find a pro-shop that actually knows what they are doing and not some kid that used to stock shelves last week.

This is the same as going to jiffy lube...

Dude don't you have friends with sounds? If you do ask them where they took their cars. If you dont have friends that 'know', just ask in the Regional section for shop recomendations.
