i've always felt its good for the engine to let it rev hard every once in a while, you dont have to redline off of every stop sign and red light of course, but doing it occasionaly for fun wont hurt the car, just make sure u dont do it in the morning or while your car is cold, wait for it to warm up a bit
its a good way to clean out the combustion chamber
not literaly but it helps a lil i guess. i do it once in a while. i mean why did i buy a 350 if the 300+ is just gonna sit there and my lead foot is itching to pound it?

I generally try to take it easy on my cars when I'm driving around town or back and forth to work, but when the opportunity arrises I push the Z to it's limits. This past summer I spent most of my weekends driving around with about 5-10 other cars just getting into trouble. Keep up on your maintenance and you should be fine... I slipped up a bit and waited waaay too long to change my oil, resulting in a spun rod bearing.
