Default Navigation cover extraction tool

Hi CL,

I would like to make a backup copy of my navigation DVD. I searched and read about how about to do this but it seams that there's a tool to take out the watch so i can eject the DVD. I looked in the manuals for it and also around my car and couldn't see such a tool. can someone post a picture of this tool and how to operate it?

Thanx,

Hammy

its in the little thing where the wrench and screw driver are... all it is.. is 2 small needle looking things that u poke in the corners of the watch.. where those 2 small holes are.. and it just pops back and simply comes off...

if u cant find it.. try using 2 paperclips or something of that sort.. it will do the trick and u wont mess anything up.

I'd be very careful about messing with that cover plate, and the nav controller system behind it. As mentioned in the other thread linked above, there is a reason that it is very hard to get to. Lexus doesn't want us messing with it. Why do you need a back-up copy of your nav dvd anyway?

thanks guys for the link, i got it out using just 2 thin rods, no need for any sticky tool, just pry on each sides and it'll pop out in no time.
