Default Shall these be my Christmas present?

Aight, so I finally found rims for my Black/Black IS250.

Here is the link to the rims: http://www.need4speedmotors.com/inde...ROD&ProdID=691

I will be purchasing them in 19".

My friend is a licensed dealer / broker and can get the Wheels + Tires (Toyo or Falcon) + Lug nuts + Hub covers + Balance etc.. all for $2000.

His dad is a mechanic and will be installing them on my car for free.

Shall I go through with it?

Have you all heard of MRR?

Looking forward to hearing some feedback. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Awol

I am probably going with the black ones. My entire car is blacked out. Windows are 5%. Taillights, Headlights are all blacked out. Black emblems and Grill.

These rims will complete the car. I like the chrome lip on them because it will be a nice contrast with the chrome border around the windows on the doors.

nah. MRR 2000, get 20". (what tires are they. if they are t1r, then you're getting a reasonable deal.)

Why? The MRR's are awesome wheels and half the price of Volks....

BBS wheels were my top priority, but the price was my main concern.

When I was looking around at BBS they did not have black rims. They only had gunmetal colored wheels.

IMO if I had a high performance vehicle I would go with BBS, but I am going for a luxurious / unique / classy looking ride.

Don't get me wrong though, BBS wheels are incredible, but I do not think they are for my ride.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I would go for the 20" rims, but I live in a town with bumps and annoying potholes, so I think 20" would be pushing it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Looks like I will be following through with this deal. I will think on it one more day and see if I receive anymore input. If I do not receive anymore input, I appreciate those who replied to my post.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will post pictures once my mind is made up and the wheels are on my vehicle.
Sincerely,
Awol
design of the wheels are nice but they are heavy. also a lot of members on this forum have mmr's. they are almost to the point of gettin played out.
i would personally save a little more cash and get a custom set of wheels. ie: work, volk, wald, fabulous, iforge, HRE, DPE, ect..
When you say MMR's? Do you mean MRR's? I am imposing "yes."
It's disappointing to hear, "they are almost to the point of gettin played out." I have been looking for the past year for wheels... I like them - they are affordable - I am probably going to follow through with them. If you care to post some wheels that are comparable and black. Please do. I would like to at least take a look at them.
Sincerely,
Awol
Those are pretty nice wheels. With the polished lip, I think they wil look good with the black finish.
Well large wheels meaning the lower profile tires..
you will have more chance getting your wheel dented or bent by your town's bumps or potholes.. not to mention the quality and feel of ride have low profile tires
