Typical C&D Crap
I received the January Car & Driver in the mail today, and there's an article about the IS-F in there. Here's a quote that you'll all love:
"So far, the only Lexus to attract postboomers has been the cramped, wimpy IS sedan, an eccentric exuding Tokyo cool but too weird for the mainstream."
A couple of pages later, one of the editor's counterpoints states, "I've always thought the IS was a terrific chassis in need of a decent engine, and now it finally has one."
Seriously, have these clowns even driven the IS350? A few pages before the IS-F article is a comparison test between the Cadillac CTS, Mercedes C300, BMW 328i, and Infinity G35. Of course, the IS350 was absent, because manual transmissions were required, and the IS250 was "too slow". The G35 is praised for "rocket-sled acceleration", which is good for 0-60 in 5.5 and the 1/4 mile in 14.1 at 102 mph - slower than the 2006+ IS350. The BMW's anemic 3.0 liter six is lauded for its fuel economy and "lack of obvious stress".
These guys couldn't possibly be more biased.

I hear ya. AUTOMOBILE magazine said the IS-F was a great track car, but no good for the street. Therefore, a failure.
I read the car rags with a grain of salt, they are highly biased based on the 'experience' of their writers. BMW and other German cars get the
