So as some of u guys know... i got a ticket somewhere around sept. 29 or so... for doing "47 on a 30" and i appealed it.... they gave me a court hearing date on 11/9/07 day b4 my birthday and it turned out that the court found me responsible but took away 70 dollars which reduced the ticket to 100 dollars... thats the not the bad part though since i am still a JOL (Junior Operatoring License) they suspended my license for 90 days!.... and on top of all that i have to pay $500 just to reinstate my freaking license.... sigh.... and i to finish 2 courses of programs b4 i can even retake my written and driving test to get my license again jesus!...................................................................

 

Had you just paid the ticket would the other penalties applied?

That really sucks dude. I hope that 90 days go's by as fast as it can for ya... :P. To make you feel better, in Ontario, they have enforced new driving laws. If you go 50 kph(30mph) over the limit, you get a max $10 000, fine, and your car impounded. There were 2 Vettes racing each other on the 401(biggest highway in Ontario), and they both got their cars crushed. 500 would be a hit tho, to me at least lol. I think the 90 days would be even worse tho.

 

Should have gotten a lawyer. You would have still paid for the court fee, but most of the time no school and no points.

crush your cars if you race...like those 2 vettes did. If its just you speeding then maximum 10K fine, and impound. Street racing laws are crazy harsh now though. Sad to say it, but it kinda works tho lol. You wont catch me doing 50kph(30) over the limit any day now...I don't just have that much cash laying around.

I've gotten a few crazy speeding tickets... ie: 80 in 55 zone...55 in 30 zone...
had a lawyer for the first one...and sweet talked the assistant DA on the second one :-)

 

next time you get a ticket send me a PM im full of excuses!!!! all that i have fought i have won them all.

i got my first speeding ticket 2 days before my 18th bday. 58 in a 40. just paid the fine n went to traffic school... no suspension. only bad thing was my dad had to go in with me since i was a minor...

wow, MA laws are strict, when I was 16 I was pulled over for speed competition doing 65 in a 35. but the cops just gave me a speeding ticket. cost quite a bit 300 if i remember or somewhere in that range, suspended my L's for 90 days but, they just gave it to my dad, no reinstating fee or test. I learned my lesson, although i still speed i dont race much. ouch
