Default Has anyone noticed the side mirrors keeps moving up?

I've noticed that I need to adjust both my side mirrors down every once in a while - maybe 1-2 months or so. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm thinking maybe the auto-tilting mechanism when you reverse doesn't return it to the original position maybe? And then it keeps pointing higher and higher?

Mine keeps moving to a higher position too. Maybe it's trapped debris behind the mechanism.... I'll try flushing it with some air and see if that cleans the nooks and cranny of it.

Pressing my memory presets won't work for me, so I don't use the auto tilting on reverse function anymore. It's so annoying to adjust it everytime after reversing.

I had the same problem.

Brought it to the dealership - they told me it was a problem they've seen many times... and replace the mirror. Hasn't happen again.

So you're saying they replaced your mirrors under warranty? Now, everything is perfect? New parts or what?

had the same problem but mine was only tilting half way and not returning to the preset spots.... took it in to the dealer and had both sides changed under warranty... but it took several visits and visual proof for them to agree the work under warranty.

fawking dealerships!

oh and yes everything is fine and dandy after the replacements

I've also noticed this but what I find interesting is if I hit the preset button it fixes the problem but if I immediately hit the same preset button again the mirror does another minor adjustment and continues to move every time I push the preset button.

I'm having this problem on both my 3GS cars. Sucks. Time for a recall.
