For the record, I've owned many cars over the years, and none have had the brake dust buildup that my IS has. NOT ONE. So, I for one can understand the whining about it (and it appears that Lexus did as well), and, that is why I will get the tsb done at the 5k service with the right part number thanks to CL and discussions like this one.

I got new pads yesterday free.Drove home from Raleigh to Greenville and there was hardly any brake dust at all.

The same happened to me...
Even though the service advisor said they found some updated pads, my invoice says they put the XX020 pads and it dust just as much, I am not going back because clearly, they don't know what they are doing. I will just change the pads myself when my time comes.

I am upset however because I drop the car off at 7am and didn't get it back until 3pm (i had to use the shuttle)
