Default Switch Panel Removal for Coin Holder

I have a 2007 IS250 and have purchased the in dash coin holder from a 2008 IS. Does anyone know how to remove the switch panel so I can remove a 'blank' and insert the new holder? Thanks in advance

Do not use a flat head screwdriver to prie out the panel it will damage it. Ask technique he might help you because he actual removed the dash panel to install a switch for his car. You can also try this thread and see how it works.https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=254545

I'm not sure if the meters where you live takes these electronic cards, but the Bay Area has 'em so you don't have to carry coins around.

The coin holder is stupid as Hell. If it's not filled you'll hear the coins rattle around every second that you drive. It's just freakin' annoying and useless imo lol. But I just have coins in mine just in case.

Yes I agree...it's so dayam annoying! The only thing I can suggest is to somehow put felt-tip lining in it just like the sc430 has in its coin holder.

in my 08 2is im getting rattling which sounds like its coming from my instrument panel, possibly a bit higher/lower. weird thing is, when i put pressure on the coin holder the rattling stops. dont flame me if im wrong, but if youre not a fan of small, annoying rattles, then i would advise against putting it in. i have an appointment to fix my rattling in a couple of days, so hopefully everything turns out for the best. unfortunately, ive read many times that after get the tsib done for the 'common' rattle, a lot more noises follow after.

It was state of the art on my mom's '86 Camry. I can't believe people are suggesting pulling apart the dash for this thing. I'd rather walk around with a roll of quarters in my pocket.
