Default Right headlight went out!!

I washed my car today and somehow when i turned on the car after, the headlight was off. I opened it up and i found water inside. I took out the bulb and used a hair dryer to dry it. I know for sure the bulb is not out because i got the headlight to start working but i turned off the lights to go back inside. Then i tried it again and it stopped working. Is it because it's wet so it's not working? Should i wait it out or take it to the dealership? Thanks

Sounds like your ballast might have gotten wet some how...

How long have you had the aftermarket bulbs in there???

Was the access cover incorrectly insalled??

Got the bulbs 1 month ago or less. It was covered and
No water was inside the HID compartment. Only on the wires outside. It worked for a while, until i turned off the headlights.

Where is the OEM ballast located?

^ That I am not sure of.. sorry..

Quick question... Besides your aftermarket bulbs... is the rest of your HID unit OEM or aftermarket??

If its OEM and the wiring gets wet, it shouldn't cause the light to short out..
Unless there is something wrong with the wiring... which may have been caused by the aftermarket 8000K HID bulbs you installed....

Thanks anyways. Only my bulbs are aftermarket. The ballast is OEM. I'll wait it out and see if the water dries.

Try the non-working side bulb on working side headlight to see if it lights up. If it lights up, it's the ballast and if it does not light up, it's the bulb.

Yeah, I did that last night. Well tonight i even put in the OEM bulbs back and the right side didn't work. Checked the fuse, it was okay. The thing is.. the headlight will turn on once in a while, So the ballast shouldn't be dead. Maybe loose wires? Maybe take it into Lexus for a check.
