Default Looong door beep when opening door

I had a question - we just picked up my g/f's IS350 tonight and noticed that when we open the driver's door there is this looong beep, which is quite annoying. Is there anything that can be done about this? Thanks in advance.

I'll post some pics of the new car later!

There will be a long beep if you open the door when the engine is on and the doors are locked. Just unlock the door before you open it. The 2IS should come programmed to unlock everytime you shift to Park, unless the programming was changed during LPS.

Sorry I wasn't clear. It does this when you initially enter enter the car, not after driving.

i dunno about a LONG alarm beep but there is one that beeps 4 times instead of 2... with previous cars from what i understand it means someone was tampering with your car

My experience is:
- put to park (doors unlocks automatically)
- turn off car
- open driver's side door
- ding ding ding ding as long as the door stays open
- close door and lock car
- nothing happens after

OR

- put to park (doors unlocks automatically)
- turn off car
- open driver's side door
- ding ding ding ding
- open passenger's side door
- the annoying ding sound goes away

What is the ding ding sound telling me to do?! There's no passenger! But the sound goes away when the passenger's door open. Help

No the spare is not in the glove box or anywhere near the car.
