Default TRD...Performace Parts information...

well i have heard from a credible source that TRD will be producing performace parts for the IS/IS-F models.

Unfortunately, the parts will most likely be brakes, suspension, exhaust systems (not including headers), and other crap.
No headers or supercharger or turbo

I know...I know....someone will say "I told you so." I guess I was just hoping that TRD/Lexus would have the ***** to do something spectacular.

Hey, a decent set of bigger swaybars is still a lot better than a $129 "red start button with TRD on it"!

Nearly everyone did actually... the number of folks who expected real +hp mods was pretty tiny... like I said, I'm impressed they're doing -any- real performance stuff (suspension for example assuming they are) I was expecting more like $120 TRD oil caps.

I think this is old news. Apparently they are not calling it "TRD" though.

ROFL, with 11.8:1 compression ratios what made you think they'd be making superchargers/turbos in the first place???

In all these 'we want more hp' posts its like ppl have no idea about how they work and/or what is needed to make one reliable...

exactly why would TRD come out with a supercharger? that wouldnt make sense. U can buy an IS-F if u want the power. we have been over this so many times. I'm just happy trd is making parts w/e they migh be. I mean would u guys really s/c ur car?

ah...yes I would put a TRD turbo/supercharger on my car. I bought my car with 10K miles and paid $32K. I could spend as much as $10K on a s/c or turbo to get the hp close to a IS-F and still be well below the price of an
IS-F.

true. i may not get the full IS-F hp. As for reliability, I agree that their may be some reliability issues. However, with my lexus factory waranty in tact, I have someone to fix any issues.

However, my preference is the get the IS-F. And since I am going to win the $23 million CA jackpot tonight, maybe I will buy an IS-F in every color available. hahahahhaahah.
