I know that the SL2Vi doesnt overide the navhack, but did you ask them if "we" could get around it by using the nav hack. After looking at the device, I think it is very possible. Just waiting for someone else to give a go or find out for sure that it works

If you think about it. Without the Nav Hack, if you only had the regular SoundLinQ, etc. You wouldn't be able to access the folders for the Mp3s right? Once the Nav Hack is done, you can access it. I thinkit's SAFE to assume if you have done the nav hack, videos should be displayed on your screen from the iPod. The concept is the same for DVD's on the ML. The DVD will play with sound and everything, just no picture.

Still waiting for the first to give it a try. Cant decide b/w this and navtv. If vaistech would set up a group by before christmas I think they would get a lot of sales. Has anyone spoken to them about getting us some kind of price break.

Quote: I'm quite certain, that it will allow you to watch video in motion if you hack the nav to do that. Someone on the GS threads posted that the nav hack works in conjunction with the vaistech device to allow video from the ipod while in motion. I want to know if it will work with an iphone, though I doubt it will.
I know this has been asked a lot, but I have read a lot of speculation as to whether the ipod will play video while in motion w/the nav hack. Does anyone have definitive proof?

I don't want to spend the extra $100 for the new SL2Vi if I can only play videos w/o going anywhere, that's why I have a couch.....

Quote: No it does not work while in motion, only in park. I talked to VAIS and thats what they told me. Very dissapointing!
think about it, you get in wreck with video playing. you get big ticket. you sue vais or the feds go after them for selling a product to circumvent federal mandates.
