I'm going to guess that they will dump the manual transmission option...it doesn't really fit the mission of the brand or the lineup (at least in the US market), Lexus clearly has NO interest in supporting it, and it's not executed very well anyway.
Come on guys.. the paint's barely dry on the '08s. I'd say probably not much of a change for '09 if other model lines are any indication. They seem to run in 5 or 6 year cycles before they come out with a new design.

The 2008 is only the third year of the current generation. Technically the car was for sale in late 2005, but 2006 was the first model year. There's still some life left in this generation of IS.

Exactly. The 2IS wasn't even out at the start of MY06; the first cars didn't start arriving at dealers until mid October '05, about a month later than the rest of the '06s.
I could care less, by then my car will be past warranty, which means trade in time . If BMW ever brings the twin turbo diesel to the states, we might have a his and hers X5 .
