Default I am having a strange problem.

hey guys. whenever i drive now no matter what speed i hear a little whistling noise coming from my passenger front wheel area. it happens as soon as i reverse or put the car in drive but not at a stop and it continues forever until i am stopped again. i don't have to be on the brakes to hear it. it sounds like a low screech. i at first thought it was just normal break squeak until i realized that it occurred even when i was not on the brake...it sounds like when you drive with the ebrake on but a little lower of a pitch. but only on that side of the car. can anyone diagnose this problem?

Could be your brakes. Some people don't have to engage on their brakes and still get a squeaky noise. How many miles is on your car?

I had a friend which has a Honda Accord and it was squeaking. The pad was fine. The reason it was squeaking was because one of the metal clips on the brake pads broke. So either take it to the stealers or take it apart and examine it.goodluck

thanks ill remember that. the only thing is, im scared to bring it in cause of my underglow--i don't want them to void my warranty. im thinking about taking out my underglow before i bring it in to service.

The only reason I would think they would void any warrany service is if something happened to your car due to underglow so I think you should be good.

hey so do you think it is likely that it is a pad problem at 9400 miles. that sounds a bit outrageous doesnt it?

If you have warranty you shouldn't have a problem with them fixing it.

ron_is350 even though i still laugh at the underglow, on a serious note there is no way they can void your warranty because of it. It doesn't affect any part of the car that would be under warranty.

Your brakes should not be gone till around 20k (i base that number on reading this forum and seeing most people surprised their brakes were gone).

What I would do if i were you, is get the brake TSB (brake dust one) done to your car. You get a free set of brake pads and it might fix your problem.
