You can also cycle tracks and etc. using the tune **** like the ipod click wheel. It does not get rid of the I Agree screen though. I guess it wouldn't coming from toyota.

I havent found out if you can shuffle songs either. I need more time to play with it. Also the up and down buttons on the steering wheel are useless but volume woks. Navi is fully functional as well.
WAIT. Did you have to do a Nav hack or anything like that? Can you do this while you are driving?

This allows me to use the all the sterring wheel controls...bought it more 160 and had installed in a local stero shop for 90. All in for 250 and it works great...
unfortunately i don't have the sat radio. from the kit's manual, it seems that it would still work if your system can take on an external CD/DVD player. Does anyone know if this would still work on my car? would my navi system unit have a jack for an external CD/DVD player?

Given that the device that kobrapack9 installed uses the satellite radio input, does that mean that you can't later add the satellite radio module? Or is the system able to handle both? (The instructions that kobrapack9 posted above are much too small to read. )

You only need the sat button and input behind the Nav. You do not need to subscribe to it. I do not have Sat radio. It does handle both though. If I ever decide to add sat radio, there is an input for it on the device. I actually fond that if you have your ipod on shuffle, it will do it on the Navi. I really like the setup. I did not want to put all of my songs on playlists with the vaistech. My only gripe is that you cannot scroll with the steering wheel but the up and down buttons on the radio works fine.

kobra, what you have isn't the Official iPod kit from Toyota/Lexus. I only want integration if it does NOT interfere or emulate Sat radio/CD changer.

I want on screen album covers, access to all content, etc.

I don't know that it will do anything on my wish list for a fact. But if their kit integrates/emulates the Sat radio or CD changer, I will pass.

I hope this is true and it is offical by Lexus. I really need an iPod in my car. Any ideas of the specs or when it will be released? Also do you know it will work with a Mac? I know some kits don't work with Macs.
