Default TPMS Wheel Compatibility question...

I searched and found several solutions to TPMS but thats not exactly what I am looking for. I like the feature and would like to keep it. My question is, are there any website that tells which wheel are compatible with TPMS? Are there any ways to tell if the wheels are TPMS compatible.

I have some old 18" Motegi MR7's in my stock room and would like to put it on my IS250 to see how it looks and maybe use it for a while. I already called Motegi/American Racing themselves but they don't pick up their phones. If anyone knows of a website or if anyone knows at all if the wheels are compatible, it would be a good deal of help. Thanks.

If this is in the wrong forum, I apologize and please move without hesitation.

I know you can drill holes to make it compatible. Some of the guys here have done it, let's see if they can chime in....

Also there seem to be adapters for TPMS now, for non-compatible wheels.

How safe is it to drill holes in wheels? Can a regular tire shop be able to do these?

As for adapters, how much do they cost and where can I get some?

Which is the best option of the two? Price-wise and easiness?

Thanks for both suggestions.

It's very safe, but you will have to go to a shop that knows what they're doing.
First person that comes to my mind is Paul (aka t0e), I've seen his up close and you can't even see the holes unless you bend down and are 2 feet away from his wheels.....yooooohoooo, where are ya Paul..calling Paul!!!

Exclamation Alternative solution

Or you can also run the iForged TPMS adapters - that's what I did, because I didn't want to drill my wheels.

Drill holes, its perfectly safe and wont cost you so much

If you want more info PM me and i'll send you to a shop that did mine.

It simple though: All 1 piece wheels are TMPS comp, Any 2piece or 3piece wheels wont be. If your lucky some 2piece wheels might be

I would call a shop and ask them if they are 1piece or 2piece first.

Mine even came with holes predrilled from the manufacturer. Won't it become required soon for all to be tpms compatible soon anyways?

I'm pretty sure mine is a one piece. You think it's compatible? How muchdid it cost to get each wheel drilled? When I have time I'll try and bringin a wheel to a tire shop. Should a regular tire shop like Tire Rack or Discount Tires be able to know right?

Thanks again for all the help.
