I was browsing the 335i forums when I saw a race thread called IS350 vs stock 335i.....the dude claimed he beat the IS350 by six car lengths...I can care less.....I thought these cars were close in power...

 

They are close in power, and this is the Internet. Just because someone claims something, it isn't necessarily the whole truth.

If this thread turns into bloodsport, I guarantee it will be closed. Discuss if you like, but forum bashing and BMW bashing isn't tolerated here.

 

Yup and no linking the thread. We have threads here of the IS 350 beating the 335. I can at least say we are FAR move civil. If you want a good laugh, read elsewhere!!!
(though some of you 2IS guys crack me up)

I beat a 335i today by 3,000,000 CAR LENGTHS!!! err i wonder if could get 3,000,000 car lenghts in hawaii...

Only three true possible things happened here.
1) The 335i was racing a 250
2) The 350 wasn't racing
3) The race was on the street and got too fast and the 350 backed off for safety reasons.

Not saying the 350 would definitely win or lose, but 6 car lengths isn't even in the same class of car.

regardless situations, chipping the 335i + bpu can easily take out the fastest is350 w/out swap, hands down.
