Default Tanabe exhaust ordered from Carson

So I broke down and ordered the Tanabe exhaust from l-tunedparts early Monday morning , and was told it was in stock and to expect an email with shipping info by 3pm that day. I didn't receive an email so I PMd Luis and Steve over the next few days but got no response. I finally called Carson and found out that my exhaust was still there and will be shipped out today

If they use UPS ground and I live in NorCal, you think I can still expect to have it by this weekend? I was really looking forward to the install this weekend with some buddies and a lot of cold beer!

This is my first time shopping with Carson so I'm not sure what to expect.

I just went and picked one up from Carson Toyota this past weekend. The guy I worked with was cool and was on top of things. I shouldn't expect any problems with shipment.

Luis is very good w/ us. He (and Carson of course) has provided most of us excellent service. You'll get yours w/ in a week.

iSuxel, NoCal is approx 350 mi away from Carson.

Thanks all for the feedback! Just got my tracking info and it's scheduled to be here on Monday Weird thing is it should be in Oakland by tomorrow but I guess UPS doesn't deliver over the weekend Wonder if it's possible to pick it up myself from there, I REALLY wanna install it ASAP!

For all those that installed it themselves, any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey kicks, Im glad you received the info for the exhaust, but I still wanted to apoligize for not getting it out as soon as I could. We ended up receiving our container from Japan, and I got a little backed up with the massive amount of parts we got on this one. Let me know if there is aything else I can do for you.

Thanks for the apology Luis... I just got excited when you said it was shipping out Monday but I guess me and the homies can just enjoy the cold beer without the exhaust install You can throw in a free Carson tuned grill in obsidian and we can call it even HAHA!

WD-40 for the rubber hangers? I also remember reading someone said they wished they bought a new gasket... is this necessary? Sorry for all the questions but this is my first exhaust install, but being a member of CL has made me a lot more confident in trying some stuff myself

No, all you gotta do is spray it willingly with WD-40 and the metal rod will come right off. You don't need to buy any new ones or replace anything. The only additional parts the exhaust comes with is the bolt and washer to hook up the side piece with the main piece.

I got my exhaust from l-tuned today. The box looked like it took a detour through badhdad but this was probably ups. The exhaust itself was packed great so everything was fine. I was hesitant to order from l-tuned from some posts but took a chance and glad I did...........thanks l-tuned. The Tanabes look great and sound even better.
