Default Which Engine Cover Fasteners Do You Usw?

Hey guys, I am looking for some new engine cover fasteners. The stock ones cuck cause you can only use once. The ones that came with my used car that the prevoius owner are a ***** to get out because they are just rigged and you have to rip them out. The ones I use on my motorcycle plastics are cool cause you push a button in the center of the fatener and they can easily be pulled out. I have also seen ones that have phillips head screw inserts in the center of them and you twist them a quarter of a turn and they come out. What do you use, and where can i find some good ones?

I use the ones my car came with... They are the kind where you push the center and it pops out. To reset them, you just need to slightly pull the prongs apart and push them back up into itself

They're definitely reuseable. They should be some of the button-type that you mentioned above, and some of the screw-type.

They are expensive for what they are. I was missing a few, and I paid $2.50 a piece(little different then my original ones) at a dealer.

my dealership charged me 1.00 a piece. They said they retail for more, but they didnt want to screw me. I thought 1.00 was high.

originals are definitely reusable. Reusing them however isn't intuitive.

I busted a few before 'reading the manual'. As I remember they were a complete ripoff to replace at dealer prices.
