Just notice the key fob will blink red if you're in the car when the engine is off. I guess it's communicated with the car's sensor. The light is on the left hand side of the lock button.
You'll see the fob blink as you approach the car too, just before the puddle lights come on.

Mined doesn't have one..however the leather cover has a hole to the left of the lock button...which is guess is where the led is supposed to be? Are the two remotes the same?
