stock to stock... should be a good run assuming both drivers are equally talented.

evo8mr = 13.5 @ 102.5 mph
is350 = 13.7 @ 104 mph

based on these 1/4 miles times... i would say from a roll, you should be able to take him. from a dig, he will take you.

but then again, alot comes down to driver skill.

If the evo is a 05 I'd say it will probably take you, if it is older you should take him.

From a dig, and if he knows how to drive right, the EVO should runaway pretty easily. From a roll, it could be close but i've learned that EVOs are rarely stock

I just remember one put 7 carlengths on my G35 and all i was like WT????

Yeah, I can't even begin to imagine how much it sucks to be Mitsu or Subie having to warranty all of these heavily modded time-bombs.

In the first place why do you care. You have your car and he has his . If one is quicker is it going to change anything. Also where are you going to "race"? On a public street...illegal, risk of being caught, higher insurance premiums. This is a fool's game usually practiced by juveniles or the inebriated (met him in a bar) where everone loses...except the lawyers. Why play it. Grow up!

NGG, this is a car enthusiasts forum. Some people here are interested in things like performance.

If you aren't, might I recommend a home & garden forum? Perhaps growing tomatoes might be more up your alley.

In some areas of the world, there are these neat things called drag strips. You see, people who are car enthusiasts can go there to race their cars against one another in the spirit of friendly competition.

Get off your moral high horse and quit making assumptions.

^^ I think the guy with the EVO is already maxed out on the insurance premiums. Those things are insanely expensive to insure relative to their MSRP.

wow, calm down NGG. he was merely posing a hypothetical question. no need to flame KpXMystic for that.

but i'd have to agree that from a dig the evo 8 MR will take you, while on a roll the is350 might be able to get one-up on the evo - driver error notwithstanding...

Sure, we are interested in performance, but if that's why you bought the car, then your money was not well spent. That is just not what they were built for.

Why on Earth would you make that assumption?

I stated a car enthusiast might be interested in performance, and you jumped to the conclusion that it was the primary driver in purchasing the vehicle.

I guess I don't see the logic behind your comment.
