Hello fellow IS owners.... I just recently got an IS250 Black/Black and I'm looking to get it tinted. Would like to get you guys' suggestions as to how dark i should go?

Q1) How dark is everyone with Black/Black IS250 (please attach pix if possible)?
Q2) You guys recommend any good places in So Cal?
Q3) Is there any specific tint brands that you guys recommend? Why?

Any suggestions or recommendations would be helpful. Thanks all.

Does anyone know what % tint the dealers use? I asked for tint and they said they use the same tint on all the cars, said it was like a med, would that be 35%, I saw one in the showroom that they tinted and I couldn't tell inside what % it was, dealer just said it was standard tint.

 

There is no such thing as a "standard" tint, unless if there are local laws regarding it.

Some Toyota/Lexus vehicles have standard factory tint (such as those found on the RX or xB) which are about 35%. The IS is not offered with factory tint; such tint is done by the dealership.
