Thinking about rims...
But I've never done this kind of thing so I'm looking for some advice.
Which brands are good? Which ones do I stay away from? Any reputable shops (online or in Los Angeles area) you would recommend? Def. not recommend?
I like the ride quality of the stock 18s so I will probably stay with 18s if I get new rims. Will it look funny if I replace the rims and don't drop the car at all?
Thanks

Well, there are many brand name wheels such as volk, work, hre, iforged.....so on... You can call one of our vendor here "D2" they can help you select your rims within your budget.
As far as lowering your car, there are many members here has lowered the car with eibach, tanabe, and they said that the ride quality is really good. You can ask one of the member in here, who is lowered with tanabe or eibach, to give you a ride, and make your decision from there. GL.

I'm looking to spend between 1000 and 2000 on the rims. As it stands, I'm not planning to drop it at all and hope to find rims that can fit the stock tires because I just dropped 3k on ridiculous laptop.
For that much you are defintely going to have to go for a 1 peice rim. I think there is a deal on Sevas right now might want to see what D2 has right now but I think that is your best bet.
Good Luck.

Biggest advantage is repairing them. 2 and 3 piece rims can be repaired because you can separate the lip from the main section of the rim etc.. Also 2 and 3 peice rims you can get custom offsets to match your car perfectly. Most 2 and 3 peice rims are built when they are ordered for your car. That being said you can have a lot bigger lip with a custom offset made specifically for the car.

Best thing to do:
Look for ones that you like at a wheel store. Have them place the wheel in front of your current ones, then stand back and see if the look "fits."
Go post a pic on this forum. Ask for opinions. Get the brand name, and some (if not most) members can provide info if the wheels are of good quality. We can also suggest alternatives (same look, different quality).
Also give us an idea of how much you want to spend. A set of 18" wheels with new tires can be as low as $1k, and can be up to $4k if you want something ultra-light and special...
