35 will be fine....my uncle is a cop he told me he never pulls anyone over for tints unless its the front or its limo tint. He said its just a pain in the *** for that and front plates
Removing tint is easy, never pay anyone to do it, simple as pealing off a sticker. As for your local laws reguarding tint, hey its your fine to pay, so its all up to you.
Seems like you've never had a fresh tint before, when you pick up your car listen very carefully about what they say, dont roll down the windows for 3days minimum, hell if you can keep them up for a wk do so. Apprently you werent listening the first time and thats ok, just make sure you LISTEN this time.
IMO it's pain to remove tint. Everytime we get a car that wants to remove it I'm just like But the easiest way is to use a steamer to melt the glue rather than just peeling it and leave the whole window with glue.

Whoa, you mean that he'll pull you over if the front side windows are tinited or the front "windshield"?
Mine will look very similar to yours (according to the pict in your sig), but only lighter overall. I have to make the front lighter due to CA restrictions. Have you ever thought about putting on an exhaust system?
I finally found the avatar feature. Pretty neat. Who wants a Decepticon avatar?

If you were asking me: Yea, but then I thought: if I wanted a faster vehicle I would have bought a 350. So no performance mods for me. That combined with the fact that an exhaust doesnt make it any faster and just changes the sound, same for an intake, I figured it just wasnt worth the money. There are much more important things I can spend that 800+ dollars on!
Hmmm, that's a good point. I'm thinking since I do a lot of freeway driving, an aftermarket exhaust would probably not be good for it anyways since it's more for street use? 90% of the time, I'm on the freeway. Everything in California is so spread apart!!
I wonder how just taking out the resonator would make the car sound? But leave everything else intact? I don't think there's anyone that gone this route on here.
I finally got back from the tint shop. The service was ehhh, but the quality is yet to be seen. I have to wait 3 days minimum to see if the bubbles and water evaporate.
They left a mess on my door panel and such. They even had to take off my door panels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Strange. They said that the molding was too tight and to get it done properly, they had to take the panels off. I don't know what they're trying to pull but I'm not recommending anyone going back there. Hell, it was cheap comapred to most places so I might as well try it out.
Tint wise, it does look good!!!! The front is slightly lighter than the rears. I just got it washed because the left all kinds of spots and solution were dripping all over the car!!!! Too dark to take picts now, so it will just have to wait.
Turns out the tint is Johnson with SP and does have metallic materials in there for enhanced sun protection (hence, SP). Overall, my car is smoking hot!!! After washing it, I was riding around town and you can definitely see people take notice.

Ok, when i got my tints i made sure they were gonna remove the door pannel to tint it. Its the best and nicest way.
I do tints also but never my own cars, like the carpenters house thats never finished/plumbers house that has leaky pipes. I'll either do a half *** job or OCD job and it'll take me forever and use up alot of tint...
Get some simplegreen and clean the int. You dont want the drippins drying. Be very careful where you put your remote in your pocket so you dont accentaly roll down the windows, for god sake stay away from the window buttons or better yet, pull the window fuse from the fuse box *thats what i always do cuz sometimes friends/relatives forget*
That's good to hear about the removing the door panels. Whew. I was watching these two guys working all over my car. This one guy screwed up the rear tint twice and he had to redo them!!! The other guy did all the sides and boy, he was fine checking everything. I even saw him put on his glasses, lol. I just wish they were more careful with their chemical stuff and not spill them all over the seats, door panels, body.
As for the glass, I was told not to touch them no matter what. There were fingerprints all over it and it just makes me cringe!!! I wish I can just wipe them off, but it's hands off until it cures.
I'll check for some SimpleGreen at Walmart. I cleaned what I could on the inside, but I'll definitely be cleaning the windows soon after 3-5 days. It's warrantied so that's good. The lady said that should anything displeases me, bring it back and no questions asked. THey'll redo it again until they get it right.
That's good to know. This shop has been there for more than 15 years and one guy has been doing tint jobs for more than 20 years!!!! That's what his supervisor told me. So that reassured me further, but the mess, whew.....
It's super uber clean now. Got it detailed but never touched the windows. Wow, what a difference.
