Default unable to afford nice stuff

after my purchase, i won't be able to afford nice rims, any mods. probably only a tint

unfortunately, not as rich$ as some of you on here...guess i have other priorities

so most likely will be bone stock...although i do appreciate nice pics on here...however, where i live in northern VA, i don't see much IS....and the ones i do see is all stock.

That's o.k. The car is great as is.

Perhaps a ClubLexus decal will make that car a little more "custom"...

don't sell yourself short. All of the built-up rides you see on this site and others definitely do not happen overnight. I have seen people (myself included) save up for months, even a year or so, to get the wheels, kit, etc. that they desire. Just budget for your mods and be patient. Good luck.

what's the point of this post? you're going to be driving a brand new lexus!! no need to make comparisons as to how "rich" other members are compared to you.. by the way, most of us here do progressive mods, a little bit at a time.. when i first bought my car i, like you, wasnt in any position to shell out a few grand for wheels, tires, exhaust, etc... it's been a little over a year and ive been able to slowly add to my list of tasteful mods (see sig).. surprisingly, you'll find that it doesnt take all that much cash to make your car a little different from most of the other 2ISs.. anyway, congrats on your new ride

Thumbs up

IMHO, you’ll HAVE nice rims. They were designed to enhance the car’s appearance by experienced design engineers. To take these perfectly new rims and throw them in a corner somewhere to collect dust for 10 years, and spend up to $4,000 on replacement rims that probably will not allow you to have TPMS, is something I’ll never understand.

Being house poor is bad because you don't have any money, but at least you are (hopefully) left with an appreciating asset. Being car poor is just dumb, because all you have is an expense. Trust me, I live in a town full of people who blow their wad on cars and nothing else.

MB S500s, BMW 760s parked in the ghetto next to a shack worth less than the car. Gotta love the irony...

Nothing wrong with that!
Moddfiying is not a "need" its a "want" the overall car as it sits is awesome and nicer then most cars on the road, i drove mine stock for several monthes and got alot of compliments.
as for rims, i actually like the OEM rims, my issue was they were getting lost in the parking lot. but its prefference.

as for the irony of people being car poor, you see it all the time. People living at a house with 10 roomates but they all have nice cars.

or people with babies at bus stops dressed like they are in a rap video talking on the cell phone.

red outs are a red tinted decal that placed over the orange turn signal to give a more uniform look to the lamp. A must with the IS.

There is nothing wrong running stock. I am running completely stock and perfectly happy and content with it. I actually do not want to touch/mod anything on this expensive piece of machinery. If I want to tinker with something I can go do it on my Xterra.
