Synthetic leather from BMWs are HELLA HARD. seats are not comfy... (Well, their leather seats are still not as good as LEXUS')

Putting vinyl seats in an item that costs over $40k is nasty, imo. Maybe when BMW fans can't tell the difference between vinyl and leather it says something about the quality of their leather, which is usually hard and not too inviting.

I think the OP was trying to make the point that cows (or steers..who says they're all female) are killed solely so that Lexus can have seats, and that if the seats were cloth, no cows or steers would be killed. That's what's known as a false dicotemy. The truth is that the animals are killed for meat in many cases, and the hides are also used to make leather.
I don't think that cows are being marched into the Lexus plant with seats coming out the other end of the plant. :-D

If automobile manufactures kill & skin cows solely for the interior, would you guys be singing a different tune?

The BMW cloth isn't bad, I saw a bunch of decent cloth in BMWs and Mercedes in Europe. If I had a M3, I would only get a stereo, a/c, and cloth seats if possible (see: track car). Bottom line = More options are better.
I dont know about the first one, but probably the second one.
