Pretty interesting video. As expected, our cars fare very well!!

Use the boxes to select the Lexus IS 2006-2007.

Nice link...I am alittle skeptical about the seatbelt pre-tensionors, because in the video it didn't seem like it locked up it looked as if it was unlocked.

I think they're designed to "give" once a certain force threshold has been reached in order to keep you from getting injured by the seat belt. It might be better to let the occupant move a few inches than to totally restrain them and break bones.

I've seriously watched SO MANY of those videos now hahaha. Check out the Pontiac G6 convertible's video. The thing shrivels like an accordion

Wow...that was really cool...and comforting - Great Find Thanks

PS> Check out the BMW 3 Series...I like those side curtain airbags...seem to work well on front collisions.

Don't these work only when you are braking hard. Thus, in this case they would not kick in because the car is not braking... it is hitting the wall at full force.

I hear you. The Infiniti results for the G35 and FX were downright scary. "The driver's head hits the steering wheel through the airbags". In essence, the front airbag doesn't really protect the driver.
