Default What to do first?

Hey guys...so I just got a summer job at a clothing store called Buckle!
Let me just throw it out there first that I do NOT pay for my car, but will be paying for mods now, and in the future.

I'm kind of debating on whether to get xenons first, or to get HKS exhausts...so I'm asking you guys what would you guys do first?
Any other mods in mind are welcome!

Thanks,
Anuj

Nice you dont have to pay for the car. Cheepest n easiest are the light mods first, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=wedge+bulbs <-- you can start here.

The exhaust, its mostly sound, you wont feel any power differance and if you do it'll mostly be in your mind.

Tell us about the car, 250/350, colour? what kinda options? we all wanna know. Look at my sig on the bottom, i describe my car.

Just updated the sig!
But interior light mods aren't high on the list of to-dos at all actually.
I'm just more concerned with 'enhancing(?)' the look of the car from the outside...i just feel its a bit bland from my perspective, and a adding something new would be pretty neat!
I'm really really hooked on getting some xtrem xenons 5000k from xenon depot because it'd be the cheapest mod right NOW seeing that they're $250 shipped and the exhaust would be around upwards of 600 installed....

Then i would go for the HID's.
Then intake, exhaust, body kit, shoes, and suspension

FIRST: I'm not dissing anyone with a IS250, so please don't flame me.

I would put the intake as last since you'll spend money and recieve no benefit at all, same goes for the exhaust for 'more power' - for sound you can just swap(cut) out the mufflers for some other 'louder' muffler rather than a expensive cat-back system. Your not gonna be a street bruiser unless you go forced induction(FI)/N2'oh(nitrous) so money spent on 'speed' parts can best go somewhere else.

I know money is tight for you, so i would say, HID/muffler swap/K&N drop in filter/lowering springs/tires or rims or both. Thats all your summer money right there, decent tires alone can cost just under 1k

Instead of working for near minimum wage at a retail store, you can be like that guy on Reno 911 who's on roller blades that "sells" oranges on the sides of roads. With tips and $5 per pop, I say you can look at superchargers and expensive wheels when the summer ends.

HIDs are first then! Thanks a bunch guys...and llama...a lot of what you said made sense, its an IS250...so every thing I want to do isn't going to have much effect on performance either way...plus this car is gone in like 1.5-2 years

WELL I DONT REALLY KNOW ABOUT THIS. ARE YOU GOING FOR SPEED, LOOKS, ETC...

INTAKE = NOISE + ??HP..
EXHAUST = NOISE + ??HP..
WHEELS = LOOKS.. EITHER RACING OR LUXURY/VIP.. (JUST SAYING VIP FOR EXCLUSIVE RIMS NOT REALLY A VIP CAR... :-P)
SUSPENSION = LOOKS.. HANDLING + WHEEL GAP CLEARANCE..

I SUGGEST.. SINCE YOUR ON A BUGGET, DONT MOD YOUR CAR AT ALL AND SAVE YOUR MONEY... STICK TO MODS UNDER $200 I WOULD SAY.

A DROP WOULD COST YOU $200+ FOR SPRINGS (TANABE/EIBACH), $200+ FOR LAYBER.. PRETTY CHEAP MOD.. PLUS YOU HAVE STOCK 18'S WOULD LOOK PRETTY GOOD.

I DID THE YELLOW FOG LIGHT BULBS, LOOKS AWESOME.. BUT I'M AIMING MORE TOWARDS A JDM LOOK SO I WENT WITH THAT.. $25.. AND DID A SEARCH ON CL FOR A DIY.. EASY INSTALL..

IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE YOUR HID, UP TO YOU.. IT LOOKS HOT THE WAY IT IS.. BUT DO YOU... YOUR MONEY!!!! LOL.

MY OPINION, MY SUGGESTION, SAVE YOUR MONEY... KNOCK OUT THE BIG ONES OUT FIRST AND THE HOTTEST.. = WHEELS AND TIRES + DROP...

EVERYTHING ELSE WOULD COME BY QUICK...

My preference on mod progression:

Tint and clear bra first.
Wheels second.
Lighting mods.
Intake.
Springs.
Exhaust.
Coilovers and roll bars.
Body kit (and spoilers).
Super/turbocharger.
Custom paint job.
Ski/bike/surfboard/wheelchair rack.
Airplane wings.
Bubble-blower.
Spinners.
And finally, a Ferrari badge.

Err... hes on a budget guys, if he buys rims/tires first thats it, he cant do nothing else. Another thing, coilovers on street cars are HUGE waste of money, unless you go SCCA solo II on weekends at various racetracks. For crusing around on the street in a 250, springs/shocks are all the car needs.
