How to remove the rear deck OEM sub? (merged threads)
Alright, I searched and found several threads mentioning removal of the rear deck to get to the OEM sub (non-ML), but no definitive DIY instructions. Can somebody post instructions or point me to a thread that describes in more detail the steps needed to remove the rear deck? I got the rear seat out, now I need the rest. What a hassle.
On a related note, has anyone with an aftermarket sub noticed a difference in bass with the OEM sub disconnected or removed? I've tried 3 different sub packages in my 2IS and they've all been disappointing in both quality and volume.

Stock subwoofer & rear deck removal.
I'm installing a new sub but can't find a way to remove the stock sub. Does anyone know how to remove the rear deck and the stock subwoofer? I'd appreciate it if someone can post instructions or refer to existing threads on how to do this. THanks.
