Default Too many IS's ???

OMG!

I found out within 2 blocks from my house, there are 4 IS's (including myself)

one 350 and three 250's.

Is this a good thing or not?

Yeah, I'm noticing more and more popping up lately. Up until just a couple months ago, I could go literally several days at a time without seeing a single other IS, no matter where I went. Lately, I see one or two others almost every day.

On the one hand, I like seeing other IS drivers on the road to see what (if anything) they've done with it, and maybe giving them a wave or a thumbs up. Plus, the better the car does, the more aftermarket support there will be... but on the other hand, I think one of the things I take pride in with the IS is how few of them there are relative to other cars in its class (TL, 3-series, and G35). Looks like the latter might not be true for very much longer.

It does seem, if Internet boards are any indication, that 90% of all the IS's in the US are in California. One of the reasons I got the IS (over the TL or G35) is that I can drive for weeks and not see another IS in this area (New England).

The IS came out in Fall 05? Up until this January, I would barely see any ISs, now I see maybe 2-3 a day! I always like to pull up and see if they're 250s or 350s haha. The Obsidian and SGM are the best looking ones, I would tail them pretending that it was me in the car Just one more year and I'll be able to get an IS350 (or the new TL)

This is around the orange county area/405 fwy.

Heck, they're all over Houston too now... I'm constantly seeing them on the road or parked EVERYWHERE.

it's become increasingly popular
nonetheless, be happy with your car. you bought it because you like it, didn't you?

anyway, i don't see many IS's around here...
only when i hit heavily asian populated areas. haha..

They're everywhere down here in the NYC area. I had only ever seen one SMG IS250 up until about March, then it was an explosion of ISes. Now I see black ones, white ones, SMG ones everywhere several times per day. I've even seen grandmas and soccer moms driving the cars or older guys that look like they are in their midlife crisis (not to offend but I'm in my 20s a looonng way off from that ).

I have another white G35 coupe just across the street from my house, I would like to think he bought it after he saw how nice my Ivory Pearl G35c looks. (I don't know that family BTW).

There are also a few more white G35c's in my neighborhood now, but I think mine is the first white one, since there were none in white in the neighborhood before I bought mine. I would think their buying decisions are all based on seeing me driving mine around
