So, I'm still waiting to hear about my final questions on ordering my IS250 with M/T. We added Navigation to it today. I've been reading around today and found the thread Daisy posted about her Intuitive Parking Assist. (I think that she needed Intuitive Raw Deal Assist to help her through that one). Her post made me wonder if we should add the IPA to our car?

I searched around but didn't find much about it. Does anyone out there have it? Is it worth the upgrade? I appreciate your advice.

I have to say, I'm really getting excited about the order and can't wait to turn heads in my new red car!

 

I have the Lexus parking assist option. I personally like it. However, Daisy didn't have the Lexus option -- it was some aftermarket thing. I definitely wouldn't do that.

 

I can see the need for the park assist if you live in a major city that requires parallel parking, or parking in tight spaces (New York, Chicago, LA, etc.). However, I live in Houston, and the feature would be useless for me as side by side parking is ample.

There are those features that are nice to have, and those that are needed. I suppose you will need to weigh the cost vs. the benefit to you.

 

Thanks, guys. Her post made me think about getting the "real" Lexus Intuitive parking. LOL I definitely weigh the options. It just seems like you really need to be sure what you want before you order, because afterwards you can end up wanting something and not being able to get it. My parnets just bought a ES350 without Navi and my dad is having trouble seeing to back up. That's one of the reasons that we bought the navi in the first place...the backup camera. We also like the additional controls.

When I first got my van....yes I drive a 2000 Sienna van, as I backed up slowly (because it was new and I was being careful) someone quickly backed up across from me and ran into my back bumper. When I think of that happening to that new baby...yikes!

 

Remember the real Lexus Park Assist has a total of 6 sensors and they are all color match and flush in with the bumpers....remember four in the back and two in the front corner bumper.
