i did the TSB and so far no brake dust, well not a lot that is. Now my front wheels are cleaner and more shiny than my rear wheels... why couldn't they just switch out both fron and rear. the car does not jerk when you come to a slow stop or when you brake and gas it right back but the performance is a little bit less. feels the same. squeaking noise is still there when the brakes are not hot but it is not as loud and long as the old pads. once they are hot the noise goes away.

so the new pads are a semi metalic or a cermanic. and the origonals are a metalic? also do the is come standard with akebono pads? also do they set the breake pads for you by doing the slow stops then faster and faster stops?

Had mine done about 9 days ago and have put about 500 miles on my car. Love the new breaks! No noise, NO dust, and I like the feel better!

Is the TSB for the IS250 only applies to US? How about us Canadians?

Do TSBs expire? I have about 800 miles on my car ... was going to get the TSB done at the 5K mark ... which will likely be in several months ...

Its not that the TSIB expires, thats good through the life of the warranty, but in some cases like the brakes if your brakes are worn down past a certain point the dealerships will not do the TSIB so you will be SOL. However at 5000 miles you should be fine. Youll just have to deal with dirty rims for another 4200!

Please link me the TSB for the IS x50, I just called the dealership and they said they only have it for the GS not the IS.
