Default IS250 OEM Hid Install

Hi, I'm a newbie. I just bought an IS250 without HID. Is it possible for me to purchase a set of OEM HID and install them. Do I need to do anything else besides physically installing them. Please let me know. Thanks.

I don't think you could get a set of OEM HID and install them to your IS... I think you will need to replace the whole light set...

Or at less you will need to install the projector light part...

Yup, you would need to replace the whole headlamp equipped with D4S housing, OEM HID kit, and AFS and its sensors. It would be really costly. You would be better off buying a H11 HID conversion kit and installing that.

I saw this on eBay. Will this work if I purchase it.

This is just one side, but I thought if I replace the entire headlight unit, it should work, right? Is everything self eclosed? Thanks for your help.

i've talked to a few dealerships and it is possible. Now remember that it is just the OEM HIDs and probably won't come with AFS. If you get the dealer to install them it should not void the warranty. i am in the same boat as you.

the OEM HIDS i believe were $300 - 400, but that did not include installation. Im out of town right now. I can give you a better answer after the holidays. again just call around the lexus dealerships in your area.

Sorry to bring this old thread back but I jusst found out my is250 doesn't have HID. I bought a one headlight for the passenger side, it is the OEM HID headlight. I plugged it in, the ballast buzzed, the lights went from blue to white and then cuts off right away. So i take it, that if your car is not equiped with HID, you cannot just buy OEM complete HID headlights and simply plug them in. What is it that I need to make these headlights work?

you dont get the nice cutoff and clarity like the OEM HID or a retrofit projector/lens combo.

better off doing a retrofit projector combo than an new OEM HID setup if you are that technically inclined.
