I got around 21.5 mpg 100% city when I first got it its improving slightly. Are there a lot of hills in VA, theres none in Houston, those will hurt mpg

No hills in VA except for one that i use to come back from school. but other than that no hills. And i have been been driving it like five times a day since i just got it, you know making exxcuses to go out and drive it. I guess everything will be better after the first oil change.

Comeon if you can afford a 40,000+ car and you are worried about fuel mileage?

It's not about affordability. We're comparing notes if we noticed any mpg improvement. Just nice to know mpg improved after break in period.

Guess what, I'm averaging 0 mpg coz my IS350 is not here yet!!! I'll let you know in about 3-4 months, I just ordered mine Monday. I can't wait! I'll be glad to offer you some cash for gas if you give me a ride in your new IS, more if you let me drive, but I see you're in VA. Same offer goes to anybody here in SoCal. I'm getting tired of looking at the brochure.

I got my car Sunday. Driven 224 miles averaging 19.7mpg. 60% city/40% freeway. I live on top of a hill so I'm sure that affects the mpg too. Hope it gets better

Yea im hoping for that too. But i drove it on the highway today going about 70mph and i was averaging about 30 mpg and that trying to keep it at the same RPM at all time and maybe letting off the peddal once and awhile. But i was happy i was getting atleast that much on the highway.

Realistic? No. Doable? Yes. I've been able to do it in every car I've owned for the past 20 years. The only problem is that you have to drive like you've got a trunk full of fine china and a raw egg between your foot and the gas pedal.
