Default ASL thing

Ok I did a bunch of searches and have nothing on this. Maybe i'm searching for the wrong thing. anyway...you know when you go to DSP then you can turn ASL on and off?

Well mine doesn't seem to do anything when it is on. Isn't it supposed to increase volume or something when the ambient noise gets louder? Do I need to go complain about this to the dealer?

Thanks

24 / m / so cali...

The auto sound levelining, it should increase slightly as ambient noise increases like on freeways and stuff, does it have like a bar level below the ASL? Mine works, but it's not THAT noticable...

Yea i see the little bar fluctuating but doesn't seem to do anything to the volume. I still have to turn the volume up manually when getting onto the freeway.

In my previous car the volume would go up dramatically once i got onto the freeway.

Yea... they didn't make it too invasive. It definitely raises the volume. I think someone else said that each notch raises the volume by 1... you can notice it at low volumes.

I tried yesterday.....you can notice the difference if your volume is < 10. it's not that dramatically like the others do, but it does work!.......

Darn it! I was hoping the ASL worked well like my previous car, the FX.

+1. I never knew what ASL was until a friend showed me and it was definitely noticeable when it's off vs. on.

If you listen at an average level of 45, you really don't need ASL. It's a progressive control to make it louder when road noise might drown out the sound. At 45, road noise will not drown out the sound. Ever.
