Default goodbye IS :*(

so I'm in the process of going back home and I decided to drive my car back early this last weekend since I didnt want to potentially scuff up the leather or do anything else stupid during the move...i ended up giving my baby sister the IS since her car was always breaking down and i was taking back my old SUV...it seems shes in love with it and wants to keep it (curse you glacier frost for looking so good )...so now im actually considering giving it to her...

now ill probably have to hang on to the truck for a while till i reload the cash funds for another deposit but my question is what should i get? upgrade to the 350? GS? maybe the new G sedan? TL? what do you guys think?

the only thing is i really want to stick to japanese cars cuz honestly im tired of making a scheduled maintenance appointment two months in advance for a $90,000 german car and gettin a freakin chevy malibu rental from enterprise (merc/bmw owners: you know what im talking about)...plus you cant beat japanese TQM and service...

Not a huge fan of the FWD TL, and the GS isn't sporty enough for me personally. The new G coupe or Sedan isn't a bad choice, and depending on how much you liked the IS, the IS350 is never a bad decision either.

Wow, I wish I had a sibling like you.

So generous. Good man.

Anyways, if you're not a big fan of poor service(who is?), stick with a Lexus .

Can never go wrong with an IS...especially if you get a 100 HP boost .

Lol, i work for Enterprise here in Miami, im in the South Dade Regional Administrative Office. If you have a $90,000 car in for repairs you gotta go to one of our more high-end branches, try the Collection in Coral Gables, its on 200 Bird Road. You talk to them there and negotiate your situation and i promise you the "cheapest" car you'll leave with is a G35 Sedan or Jaguar x-type. The secret is, if your nice to them they WILL be nice to you and really help you out, now if you come in acting like an a$$ as if you own the world they will screw you lol. Just a little friendly advice . O and btw if you want to spend a little cash and have some fun while your car is in the shop, ask about renting our Lotus, we just added it to the line-up, why not have some fun while you gotta wait right?

hmmm I would think that if you have a $90,000 car your servicing dealer would be sure to get you in a comperable rental. 2 yrs ago my Acura was in the shop for some minor paint work and I told them a Kia would not be acceptable... so they upgraded me to a Benz E320 for only $10 more than the kia. My experience with Enterprise has been nothing but good

Well it also depends on which branch you visit, only select branches have the higher end cars. But on another note, since i started workin here and i saw what goes on on the inside of this company i was surprised by the effort put in by most of our employees, the majority really do love to see the customer leave happy. Hard to find that nowadays, the only other company i see really trying hard like that is Lexus, their customer service is unbeatable.

Go lease a 335i . . . just kidding.
If you had no issues with the IS, get another one, seems like IS250s are going for less than invoice nowadays. If you want the IS350, good luck, hear those are hard to come by. If you need a bigger ride, the GS350 seems pretty sweet . . .

@TruPlaya26

actually everytime i've taken it into the dealer it was still under warranty...i always end up sweet talking them into giving me a loaner (they have them they just dont want to give them to you) or at least a free upgrade at the enterprise counter...but my point is that at lexus you drop off the car and you get a lexus (even with acura/infiniti/etc for that matter)...seems weird with bmw and merc that they give u a rental thats all...ohhh and good luck ever taking it into another dealership...i once took it to bill ussery (we bought ours from MB in miami) and they used my OWN car to drop my off back at work and then ended up losing the car and the keys for an hour when i went to pick it up...its ridiculous...

ohhh and i saw that lotus when i dropped off the car for service last week...if only i didnt need transport for four at the time...absolutely gorgeous car!

Not always...more than half of the loaners at my Lexus dealership are Camry's. They are plain and no fun to drive, but better than nothing I guess.

yea, you can't go wrong with infiniti's either, but based on my previous experience with giving other brands the "benefit of the doubt," i end up finding out why i end up going back to toyota/lexus. for example, check out the thread on the new g35 vs IS. Good luck with your choice

My friend has an 06 G35 coupe and he says service is horrible. He lives in Northern Cali, btw. They didn't want to cover anything under warranty and tried to blame him for most of the stuff that should be warrantied. They also gave him a Nissan Sentra for a loaner when his car was being serviced. How lame.

I say stick w/Lexus and I agree w/the others...you are an awesome brother! I wish my brother was like that!
