I have an '07 IS 350 and I want to override the lockout on entering destinations while driving. I also want to override the lockout on entering phone numbers. The voice recognition system is worse than useless. I tried the UL-LL tapping thing I read in another post and can't get it to work. There must be a simple way to get this navigation system working properly while driving. I used to have an Acura TL and that worked great. This issue is really cutting into my enjoyment of my new IS.

 

Supposingly the 07s can't use the tapping technique. You might have to do the manual override

 

Please search and read the FAQ, this topic has been covered extensively in many threads.
