How to flush coolant system
That's usually a purge problem. If the sensor doesn't get wet because there is air in the system, it won't read temperature for beans. Ask anyone who owned a MkI MR2 and did a coolant swap at home.
I wouldn't really do a flush at all to change the ratio and add RL WW. I would just drain 40% of the original coolant, dump in a bottle of RL WW then fill it the rest of the way up with distilled water. I doubt I would have much of a problem with air bubbles.
Just looking for some maintenance items to work on...after reading the thread, it seems clear that 100-120K miles for the pink stuff in the IS is good time considering how you use your air/heat. No worries, just great!
