Default Getting Tint Right Now, Have Quick Question

I am in MA where the tint laws are 35%. I am getting the front and rear doors 35%, but the guy said he can do 15% in the rear. Would you suggest I do it or do 35%?

Thanks, hurrrrrrry

I personally don't like the rear THAT dark. But I did go with 20% on the rear. It works for me. If you feel you are going to want slightly darker I'd say go darker. 35 is fairly light so you can easily still see into the car. With 20 you can see in but more shadows and outlines. I wouldn't go any darker than 20 on the rear though.

I also have the rear backup camera so that helps at night. Not that I solely rely on it when backing up though.

The rears you can have as dark as youd like (5% if you want), only the windshield and front driver and passenger windows have to go by those regulations.

I guess the question you should ask yourself is how likely is it you'll get pulled over where you normally drive and live?

I don't know if its right or not for MA but tintdude has 35% max in MA for the rear
http://www.tintdude.com/laws.html

For me its not worth the hassle of getting pulled over or having problems during state inspection... I stick to the letter of the law on tint.

It's all preference, don't ask for anyones opinion. If you are not sure, then don't get the tints at the moment. I have 5% all around, and more than beautiful =) If I were you I would go 35% all around, why go dark in the back and light in the front??? Just my POI. Good luck!

because i want it as dark as possible all around while trying to stay as legal as I can get. I feel like if I get an inspection sticker, they would only check the doors. I dont think it would look too weird with the rear being darker then the sides,

Maybe it is less strict here, but I kno alot of pollice officers and they have all told me that i can have the rear as dark as i want, but the front windshield can only be tinted 6" from top, and driver window and passenger window cannot be darker than 25%, so im guessing in your case 35% up front and w/e you want in the bak. check wit an officer to be sure.

I was just reading the ting laws for MA, and it's pretty strict. I think 15% rear and back with a 35% front would look nice. What kind of film are you trying to buy??
