tried smoking tails
Bought a precut smoke vinyl off of ebay.

ABSOLUTE garbage...the pieces arent precut well and it looked horrible when I was done
what a waste of money

That is why i never trust ebay and I always read feed back before buying.

Sorry to hear that. I bought my red outs and bumper smoke outs from ebay and they were great.

i was planning on gettin those same ones from the same seller..
did you install these yourself or by a shop? i heard gettin the vinyl on the taillights can be tricky cuz of its odd shape.

Yes but almost all his negative feedback is stating that the vinyl doesn’t perfectly fit. Also Vinyl has wrinkles and bubbles. I am sorry for your bad experience.

Vinyl bubbles and wrinkles would be installation error wouldn't it?

yeah no idea man.
i got the red outs from that guy and it worked out great.
hm... did you use any solution for the film?
i used mild soapy water in a spray bottle... massaged the film in with a heatgun.

yea i did that also but the vinyl did not cover the light in all places...i did one light and it looked really bad because there was too much slack.
