well, i certainly paid more for them than what you mentioned, and my friend told me they were high quality so thats why I went with them. I think they'll look ok if they get pointed right.

If you pay more then what i mentioned (190), u over paai big time. When i install the o-nex kit, i noticed that the ballast is a GIANT compared to Xtreme from XD and that kit doesnt comes with a relay. I hope everything work out for you. GL

That's awful. I'm glad I don't live in CA. I would probably get blinded by all the HID kits and crash into someone. After market light mods should be illegal or at least be inspected for safety approval. Seriously, if you can really afford a pricey car and want the HIDs, then at least spend a little more for HIDs in the first place.

what the...? installation is so easy, all you do is twist the bulb in. this is no harder than replacing a bathroom bulb. i mean unless they didnt install an H11 base bulb then I would understand. maybe im missing something here...

well today there was a lot of condensation in one of my headlights, just another sign of a terrible installation. I called the number posted for Kansai Xenon Service, but no one picked up. Hopefully they can help me fix this terrible setup.

this is the very reason why i waited to buy the '07 versus the '06. With the '06 if you wanted HID for your IS you had to buy the 350 and then get the package that had the HID lights, so i found out in Sept. of 2006 that the 07 was going to have them in the 250 standard. so i bought a brand new 250 '07 in sept. of 06. Although i have seen the infamous writeup of all the '06 IS250 owners that were able to purchase the HID kit from places like xenondepot and successfully convert...i just didnt want to go that route. Plus i use to own a '04 Acura TSX that had HID standard, so i wanted to keep it the same.
AS for you "Business1s", honestly i would take my car to the nearest lexus dealership and see if they can help you out, i would not take it to that other shop ever again.

guys are you sure that the problem is with the installation??? There is only one way to install an HID bulb. Its very possible that the HID bulbs are just not rebased properly meaning that its a problem with the kit.

The only way the shop could really have screwed up the installation would be if they did not install the bulb properly however im pretty sure they would realize it.

yea that is definately a bad install, looks like the bulb is seated wrong. or needs spacing, more than likely it is seated wrong. But you cant even make out the cutoff, you should post some night wall shots of the cutoff at about a car length away thats where the truth comes out.

as for the fogs the output doesnt look too good, but that might be ok, since I know lexus mounts the bulbs on the side which affects output.

also to answer the questions as to whether they will put projectors in there, chances are 99% of all shops that throw in an HID kit will not put projectors in. Not only would this take a long time, but a lot of money (porbably around $500 a headlight) and experience which alot of shops dont have in this area modification.

I would either fix it yourself or take it to someone reputable.

I just got back from seeing Harrison at Kansai Xenon. First I want to say that he is VERY good at dealing with the IS, he knew which tools to gather before even looking under the hood. I told him about the weird directions of the light, and the condensation. There were actually more problems with the installation, for example the bulbs weren't put in properly, to take them out he just had to pull, not twist and pull. Also the hardware wasn't secured properly, it was just sort of sitting there. He told me he would try to get the water out of the headlight, but that there might be water spots left on the inside, which there are and i'm not sure of a way to get rid of them. Anyways here are after pics. I would HIGHLY recommend Harrison to anyone thinking about getting HIDs installed, he is quick, and charged me way less than the original shop. It was def. worth the drive. PS. when i first called him i just got voicemail, he told me a lot of times he's busy but responds to voicemails ASAP.

You could have gotten the IS250 with HID as well. And aren't HID's an $875 option on the 07? For the 06's, it was less common for people to get HID's as it only came with the sport of luxury package. I definitely didn't want to pay the 4K in getting a package where I didn't even want some of the items.

Besides, Xenon Depot has better lights anyways =P (shameless plug)

for those who has HID as the optioned are lucky here is Macao we don't have a choice either buy the full loaded model or the standard model, so I have to install aftermarket HIDs for my headlight... Although the light pattern isn't as good as the stock HID still good enough to make me happier without them!! The thing is you should try to get the better kit and get a better shop to install them! I have them installed right in front of my eyes!
