Clear Bra Pics
Depending on where you live in, if you live in Southern Cali, I would suggest Aerotect in La Verne. www.aerotect.com, they do a awesome job, just ask anyone here at clublexus
Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and pictures ... based on your input, I was able to find a good shop in Maryland to use when my car gets delivered. Their prices were as follows:
The complete kit for the IS is 995.00 plus tax, the upper kit is generally 595.00 by itself, and the lower kit is 595.00 by itself, but purchased together you get a discount. The kits consist of hood, fender, mirrors, door edges, headlights, foglights and complete front bumper. I'm booking into mid next week, let me know when you would like to schedule it. We are now also offering Llumarr window tint with a lifetime warranty as well. price for a sedan is 265.00...
I think I'm just going to get the hood, front bumper, headlights and foglights ...

acbrisker, are you leasing the vehicle or buying it? If your buying it, i would say get the fenders and the rocker panels done to protect from scuffing with your feet/rocks.
Buy = Go all out
Lease = Cover enough so you dont have to pay a big fee when you give it back.

If i were buying a new car...i would bring it to my place the first trip i made in it. Get every window tinted, and everything that could possibly be covered within reason.
I saw the guy i go to doing up a 2gen IS not too long ago. He was going all out to cover every inch that would see wear, because the owner wanted to keep the car a long time and didnt want to rash it up.

That's my fear ... I drive 70+ miles a day ... mostly highway, and then through the Nation's Capital ... and don't want cars/buses/trucks kicking up rocks destroying my paint.
Alex
How's your front-end holding up?? Have you noticed a lot of 'road rash' on your bumper, etc?

The front end's too dirty at the moment, but I see a lot of dead bugs smashed up to it (yellow blood stuff all over). So far, no major scratches. I do see the "road rash" you were talking about on certain places of the car. You can't really see it unless you're up close. We also have high winds here so it's getting "sand blasted" like everyday!!!!! I'm giving up on the body, but I'll still keep it clean. Can't avoid mother nature
