Default Brake Caliper Stencils/Stickers

I am RE-POSTING my stencil/sticker thread. I was contacted by 1sicklex (Mike) via PM and given a forum rule violation infraction. I am not allowed to share with you all where these stickers were purchased or how I got them. The mods will not allow me to share with the community this product. Mike must have deleted my thread... The nice thing to do would have been to simply delete the source of the stickers. Oh well

Soooooo, without further adue, for those of you who haven't seen them, here are the pictures of my brake calipers:

With all due respect, the thread resembled an overly verbose ad for your friend who made the stickers. So I am supportive of the moderation move.

I do wish, however, that they [the Admin and Mod crew] do allow a source to be listed in the sponsors section for these and the club lexus decals.

That all said, I really like the look, thanks for sharing.

Haiko - no problem, i'm glad you are supportive. I re-did my thread, and posted to show the community what products out there do exist that work on our cars. I will however not be able to share with the community where you can get them as I might break another forum rule.

Those are stickers right? did you shoot a few coats of clear coat or just stuck them on?

Looks great btw - mine look exactly the same.

I like this much better than a gawdy (IMO) bright red caliper.

bag - they are stickers, same type I've used on my Supra for years... I simply cleaned the calipers and put the stickers on... Took a total of about 2 minutes!

Default Caliper Stickers-350 vs 250 size

Hi,

Thanks again for the post and pics... One question has arisen - with regard to application of the stickers, are the calipers on the stock 250 the same size as the 350? I know the brakes are different on the 350, but was not sure whether this makes any difference with regard to applying the stickers.

Thanks for any clarification.

That's kind of cool. How long you think they will stay on for before they peel away?

comb - on my Supra, I've done several track days (road race) and hard 200 mph to 60 mph stops, and no issues with peeling. I venture to guess that they'll never peel...???

as someone told me -- the sure bet way to do the calipers with these stickers and never worry about peeling is to -

1. paint your entire caliper silver
2. stick on the LEXUS decals
3. paint your entire caliper black (or whatever color makes you happy)
4. after drying, carfeully remove the LEXUS decals from the caliper.
5. shoot a couple of clear coats (optional)

for the 250
heres some pics of the front brakes that i stole from one of cathafer's ride from an old thread. only one i remeber having a sticker on a 250.

i dont quite remeber, cuz i dont really look at them, but i believe the rear caliper is too small for any decal at all.
