I discovered a bad pixel on the navigation display. I didn't really notice it before, because you can only see if if the background is blue. I usually have the map screen on. I mentioned it to the service consultant as I brought my car in to have them look at my moonroof. They're going to order me a new display. I Love Lexus customer service.

Does anyone else have this same problem? I did the Navigation hack, hopefully, they wont' say anything or void my warranty.

If there is a dead or stuck pixel on my screen, I have not noticed it.

That's kind of hard to do, since I cut and connected the wires. I've tried pulling the pin out of the harness without luck. After 30 minutes, I just cut and connected the wire like everyone else. It's not really noticeable because I wrapped tape around it. It's a pain taking the vent out, I don't want to go through that again.

If they find out its hacked, their gonna use that as an excuse not to cover it under warranty.

I hope they have a way to do it without taking the entire unit out.. (long shot). That reminds me, I better take the hybrid disc out and put the OEM map disc back in. I have a 2007 IS250. I've picked up the car yesterday and they washed it. I forgot to tell them not to wash it. My front wheel was cover in break dust. I didnt' really notice any swirl marks. My older brother also bring his lexus there to wash every few weeks. He have this car for nearly four years. After 4 years of car wash abuse from the same dealership, it still looks great will little swirl marks. We both have light color vehicles. Mine is GFM.

If they replace the display because of one dead pixel then great customer service from Lexus! FWIW, TV manufacturers won't even talk about replacement unless you get a bunch of dead pixels in the same area.

Hope your nav hack won't be an issue.

^^^^

Nope. I went through 3 LCD monitors before I found on that didn't have a few dead pixels and I checked my NAV throughly before pick up. I'm just OCD. Plus I make sure not to beat on the screen.
