For those who modified their grille.....
• Remove the grill and separate the inner slats from the frame
• Cut the slats out and smooth out the resulting inner frame
• Fiberglass the inner frame for strength since it becomes a wobbly piece of plastic when you cut the slats out
• Sand and bondo the inner frame until smooth
• I put 3D CF vinyl and wrapped the inner frame
• Paint the outer frame
• Mount mesh
• Re-assemble and re-install
Viola....a Blits type grill for a total price of about $25 !!!!

How do I fiberglass the inner frame? Sorry for keep asking question...
When you cut all the slats off, you're left with a frame that is ver thin and flimsy...it wobbles....


....plus, it has all the low spots after you cut and dremel the slats off. You need to fiberglass it to fill in those spots and strengthen it so the inner frame is rigid.
