When you cut all the slats off, you're left with a frame that is ver thin and flimsy...it wobbles....











....plus, it has all the low spots after you cut and dremel the slats off. You need to fiberglass it to fill in those spots and strengthen it so the inner frame is rigid.


See how uneven and scored up the inner frame is after the slats have been cut out:
